Brown Bears Host Local AAA Tournament
Announcing the first ever NAHL ALASKA MIDGET AAA SHOWCASE on November 26-29th at the Soldotna Sports Center.
There will be eight midget teams (ages 15-18) participating in this event over Thanksgiving weekend. We do not offer this level of hockey on the peninsula, so all teams participating are either from Anchorage, Fairbanks, or Outside. While we do not have our own AAA team, several locals are expected to play on rosters of the Anchorage teams! There will be over 350 players, coaches, support staff, and parents/siblings in attendance. In addition, the Kenai River Brown Bears will host the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in a three-game series on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
The Brown Bears are looking for volunteers to help with locker rooms, credential checks, and off-ice officials and will offer free tickets to those who step up and help.
Please feel free to call Nate Kiel at 398-4357 or Shorty Johnson at 398-7618 for more information.
