BEARS TAME MONSTERS!

The Kenai River Brown Bears snapped a six-game losing streak by topping the host Fresno (Calif.) Monsters 3-1 on Tuesday in North American Hockey League action.

The Bears made up valuable ground in the race for the NAHL playoffs.

ICE DOGS TAKE TWO FROM BEARS

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs swept the Kenai River Brown Bears on Friday and Saturday in North American Hockey League action in Fairbanks.

The Kenai River Brown Bears suffered a set back loss in Friday night's contest at the Soldotna Sports Center. Tonight the puck will drop at 7:30pm so come on out or if you are out of town watch us on Fast Hockey.

BROWN BEARS SWEEP WENATCHEE

The Kenai River Brown Bears swept the host Wenatchee (Wash.) Wild on Friday and Saturday in North American Hockey League play. Both victories came in extra time — Friday’s 3-2 win in a shootout and Saturday’s 3-2 win in overtime.

Kenai River is now 5-0 this year in overtime. Dating back to last season, the Brown Bears have also won four of their last five games in Wenatchee, which is a tough place to play. Saturday night’s contest drew 3,007 fans.

Unlikely heroes Patrick, McKnight lift Kenai River

The Kenai River Brown Bears defeated the Fresno (Calif.) Monsters in a shootout Saturday at the Soldotna Sports Center in North American Hockey League action.

The Bears took the game 2-1 and the shootout 3-2 in front of 922 fans.

BEARS CRUSH MONSTERS IN OT!

The Kenai River Brown Bears erased a one-goal deficit in regulation and Zac Lazzaro scored in overtime, propelling the squad to a 5-4 win over the previously undefeated Fresno (Calif.) Monsters before 986 fans Friday night at the Soldotna Sports Center.

BEARS SPLIT WITH ICE DOGS

It’s been a tough December, but the Kenai River Brown Bears have some momentum heading into a three-week holiday break.
Kenai River ended a three-game losing steak with a 5-4 shootout victory over the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in front of 781 fans Saturday at the Soldotna Sports Center.
